Sunday lunch at a country lodge

Vredefort Dome
A UNESCO World Heritage site, the unique Vredefort Dome lies 100km outside Johannesburg. This site, created by a meteorite that struck some 2032 million years ago, formed a crater larger than Table Mountain, measuring 90 km in diameter and 16-18km in depth. Art paradise
The town of Parys in the Free State is worth a visit for its exceptional arts, crafts and antiques. Many artists have studios in this picturesque town and streets are lined with bric-a-brac shops propped with items and possibly the perfect chair or artwork for your home, and a unique keepsake of your holidays in South Africa. Have some hearty breakfast or lunch at one of the many coffee shops or restaurants in town, while you get away from the buzz of the city and do some leisurely shopping an hour’s drive form Johannesburg.
