Take an exciting whirlwind tour of the Garden Route, South Africa's favourite holiday route. Start from from Cape Town and work your way up coast on this 6 Day all inclusive package. 6 days of the most wonderful scenery and adventure-packed fun stretching from vibrant Cape Town to the evergreen Garden Route. Along the way discover many of our wonders, creating memories to to last a lifetime. You’ll get to see and explore are Ostrich farms, Cango Caves, Wildlife Ranch, Canoeing, Big 5 Game viewing, wine tasting, and bungy-jumping if you’re brave enough!

This Garden Route Whale watching Package is what you’ve been looking for. All your breakfasts (except day 4) and dinners (except for day 3) are included in this all inclusive affordable package.

You tour an air-conditioned 8-seater bus with our highly qualified guide. Snake your way along mountains reminiscent of scenery from Lord of the Rings, dramatic coastlines and beautiful vineyards from Cape Town to The Garden Route, and back. Optional extra activities such as a Tree Top Canopy Tour, Sky diving, Hot Air Ballooning, Abseiling, Surfing, Sand boarding are all on offer and can be booked at request.

Accommodation for this package is suited to your budget. If it’s shoestring budget you’re on, the backpackers dormitory accommodation is perfect, and if you’re looking for a luxurious stay, we have the guesthouse accommodation for you.

Full Itinerary

Day 1:
Depart Cape Town on Monday morning for Calitzdorp via the scenic Route 62, South Africa’s longest wine route. Lunch stop at Barrydale and then on to Die Krans winery for wine and port tasting in the Port wine capital of South Africa. The last stop for the day is Cango Wildlife Ranch in Oudtshoorn, to view cheetah, crocodiles and more wild animals.
Overnight in Oudtshoorn.

Day 2:
Start your morning with a guided tour of the Cango Caves wonderland. Visit the Cango Ostrich show farm and if you wish, ride an ostrich. After lunch drive over the majestic Outeniqua Mountains to the Wilderness National park for a canoe trip through indigenous forests teeming with over 200 species of bird life.

Day 3:
Leave for Tsitsikamma National Park after breakfast. Take a scenic route through the lake district of the Garden Route, stopping off at the Bloukrans bridge famous for the world’s highest bungee jump (216 metres). After the long stop off at the bridge, spend the afternoon in the National Park situated on the Indian Ocean. The forest landscape allows for many activities including hikes, crossing the suspension bridge, swimming and snorkeling.
Overnight in Plettenberg Bay.

Day 4:
Enjoy the morning at your leisure. Explore Plettenberg Bay beach and town. We continue our trip and stop over in Knysna and view the Knysna Heads and lagoon and explore the waterfront and shops. Continue on to Mossel Bay for a Big 5 Safari game drive and dinner at the game lodge.
Overnight in Mossel Bay.

Day 5:
Explore the stunning coastal town of Mossel Bay. Attractions include the Diaz museum and the Post Office Tree and the Aloe Ferrox factory shop at Albertinia. Travel further to the Southernmost Tip of Africa, Cape Agulhas, catch a glimpse of whales frolicking.
Overnight in Struisbaai.
Option: Join up with a bus if you want to continue further up the Wild Coast

Day 6:
Travel to the picturesque seaside resort of Hermanus for whale and dolphin watching (seasonal), lunch and shopping. The afternoon sees the last leg of the awesome Garden Route Whale watching package. In the afternoon we will drive the scenic coastal road back to Cape Town stopping one last time at Betty’s Bay at the African penguin colony!

Personal Items: Bring along a rain jacket, camera, swimming clothes, sun screen, towel, hat and toiletries.
Transport: Guests will be picked up between 07:00am and 09:00am from accommodation in Cape Town, 09:30 am in Stellenbosch
