Full Itinerary
Day 1:
We leave Cape Town on the Trans Karoo Express train (First Class, dining) at 12.30 for Matjiesfontein (17h50).Take a stroll in the lush gardens with fountain and small chapel. We overnight at Lord Milner Hotel after dinner and meditate and watch the clear Karoo skies.
Day 2:
After breakfast we leave in air-conditioned transport to Prince Albert, arriving for lunch. Afterwards we attend an interesting talk by palaeontologist, Dr Judy Maquire who has worked with !Xo Bushmen and studied their survival and daily living. We end the day by watching award winning "The Great Dance - a hunter's story". Overnight at a prince Albert Guesthouse.
Day 3:
Sunrise walk to the show grounds to watch horses in silent training. After breakfast we leave for Die Hel, a valley in the Swartberg Mountain Range. Picnic lunch and own braai (barbeque) in the evening. Overnight: self - catering cottages.
Day 4:
We visit Gamkaskloof valley for a walk, meditation and to reflect on our place in the Universe. Overnight: self - catering cottages.
Day 5:
After breakfast we leave for Prince Albert and civilization! After lunch we charter a flight to Cape Town International
airport where our trip ends.
SEASONAL: March-May; September-November
GUESTS: Maximum 6 people per trip.
MEALS: Inclusive , except 2 meals [lunches in Prince Albert] and all liquid refreshments
